It's a shame her schedule's so hectic...Jen weighs in

I actually saw a movie despite the hectic schedule I have had. I saw
SOMEONE LIKE YOU. And yep, it was the girliest movie I've seen in a long
time, but I loved every minute of it. Perhaps some unbelieveable stuff,
who knows who cares. I was entertained.

Brian, Part 1

Have only seen 3 movies so far this year, but have a list of 12 out not that I want to see. Doing a movie each night this week.

Momento - *** out of 4
15 Minutes - *** and a half out of 4
The Mexican - * and a half out of 4 (that movie did not know what it wanted to be.

Just saw Gladiator for the first time. Movie moved way too slowly for me, but loved the fight scenes. Thought Almost Famous was robbed as a best picture nomine.

Brian, Part 2, he makes and EXCELLENT point

I have not seen snatch either, but it is not around out here anymore.

I went to see (dare I say it) Tomcats last night. It was a half star, because I did laugh twice, but the film SUCKED. WOULDN'T YOU THINK YOU WOULD SEE SOME TITS! I sure did. I was disappointed.

I need to get out and see Panic this week. Have not seen Hannibal yet either. Not too keen on going. Have yet to hear anything too good about it.

Have a great day!

Brian

The final Brian comment:

Hey Guys,

Bridget Jones was good, but predictable. Some very funny parts ***/4 stars.

John Prave from beyond the grave

Paul,

Okay... just saw Hannibal last night. I'll reserve any comments until you've seen it. But I gave it 2 and a half stars, which bums me out... cause I'd hoped for a lot more. About half of the movie didn't disappoint me. I'll let you figure out which half.

Oh, and what the hell is up with the article I saw that says they're "NEVER" going to release the Star Wars or Indiana Jones movies on DVD? I simply refuse to accept that. It'd be like Apple Corps deciding that they're not going to release any of the Beatles albums on CD since they're all still available on vinyl and cassette. If you're going to start a letter writing campaign to Lucas and Spielberg, let me know where to sign up.

Hope you're both well. Talk to you later...

Rhonda on the best flick of 2001!

I concur Preston,

Memento is fucking amazing.

I left the theatre scared. I haven't been so moved at
a film in quite a while. Very well done...

Hope you are well....

Rhonda von Bottoms

Even MORE on Memento!

Paul - run, don't walk to see "Memento"! I'm dying to
know what you think. This a movie for real "film"
lovers. Guy Pearce is amazing; the movie is truly
intelligent and suspenseful. Let me know what you
think! By the way, where's the Oscar rant?
Love,
Paula

And on the other end of the spectrum...

I rented "The Velocity of Gary" this weekend. I think dictators in South
America used this as torture. You would better spend your time watching the
life of an ant.

Yours lovingly,
Matt
